About Union Grove, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Union Grove is an unincorporated community and township found in Iredell County, NC. As of 2000, the population of this community was approximately 2,100 residents. This community was established in 1865, although the post office was in existence prior to the Civil War. Union Grove is home to Union Grove School and the Union Grove Milling Company, along with two Methodist churches. It is located in a scenic spot with picturesque views of the Brushy Mountains, Blue Ridge, and Pilot Mountain.

Union Grove is a very small community, so there are few attractions located here. However, Linney’s Mill Campground is found here as is the sporting goods store Myrtle Beach Custom Golf. Nearby Hiddenite is home to other attractions, including the Hiddenite Family Campground, the Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area, and the Hiddenite Gems Emerald Hollow Mine. Nearby North Wilkesboro is home to the North Wilkesboro Speedway, while the Raffaldini Vineyards and Winery is found in Ronda.

If you are traveling or relocating to Union Grove, it is important that you plan for the varied weather conditions that you are bound to experience. The climate at the start of the year will be cool, and even though temperatures tend to fall below the freezing point overnight, snow is relatively rare. In fact, the community experiences fewer than two snowy days per year, but residents still need to be prepared with a heat pump or furnace system in order to keep interior temperatures warm when thermostat readings plummet.

The spring and autumn seasons in Union Grove tend to be comfortable with highs in the upper 60s, and they serve as bookends to hot and humid summer months. High temperatures reach 90 degrees or hotter for over 45 days per year, and since even average lows stay in the upper-60s, it is important that residents have access to an air conditioning system to stay cool throughout the season.
