About Davidson, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Davidson, North Carolina is a lakeside community found in northern Mecklenburg County on Lake Norman. As of 2010, the total population was about 11,000 residents.  The town is home to Davidson College, and life centers on this institution. Davidson was founded in 1837 and was named after local Revolutionary War hero William Lee Davidson. Since then, it has received numerous awards and accolades, including distinctions as a fit and walk friendly community.

There are a variety of great attractions located in and around Davidson. One of the most popular is the Tour De Food Davidson, which allows guests to taste new foods, try out chocolates, and drink local wines. There are a variety of unique shopping opportunities located here, including the Village Store and the Wooden Stone Gallery. Outdoor recreation is popular at destinations like Parham Park and Faulkner Square Park. Other popular destinations in the area include Our Town Cinemas and the Ghost Walk of Davidson.

Davidson area residents need to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature has to throw at them, and for that reason, most will invest in both home heating and cooling systems. The hottest days of the year occur in July and August, and while historical records show that average temperatures will reach the mid-80s, there are several weeks in which temperatures will exceed 90 degrees. Central air conditioning units need to be serviced during the cooler spring months so that they are in optimal condition when the hottest weather strikes.

Winter weather tends to be cool and mild, and while high temps in January will reach the 40s, freezing temperatures are also common. Despite limited snowfall, these weather conditions can be extremely dangerous and proper precautions should be taken. Without a heat pump or furnace to control indoor climates, pipes and plumbing could be in jeopardy of freezing.
