Taylorsville lies within a humid subtropical climate zone, and much of the year, temperatures are comfortable. However, extreme weather conditions are possible in both the summer and winter months, and during these times, home climate control systems are necessities in order to ensure that residents stay safe. This is especially important for the elderly, young children, and people living with chronic medical conditions, as these populations can be especially susceptible to weather-related illnesses.

Summers in Taylorsville tend to be long, hot, and muggy, with many days experiencing high temps in the 90s. The high humidity levels in the region will make it feel even warmer, so residents will need to invest in home air conditioning systems to stay safe. Likewise, weather extremes are distinct possibilities during the winter when freezing temperatures are common, especially overnight, so it is crucial that residents utilize the milder autumn months to ensure that their heat pump or furnace system is working properly.
